Approval of minutes: The minutes of the November 2019 meeting are available for review at the borough office. The minutes are approved on a motion made by Michael Baloga and seconded by Diane Smiles.

The Christmas Event held by the Wyoming Borough Recreation Board was a complete success. We had Pictures with Santa, letters to Santa, and arts and crafts. Pizza, hot chocolate, candy and cookies were served. The Board would like to thank the Wyoming Library, Brackney Leather, and of course, Santa for their participation, and all of the volunteers that helped to make the night such a success. We would also like to thank Jim, John and Shawn for all of their hard work. The Recreation Board also thanked Pizza Bella for their generous donation of 10 trays of pizza for the event.

Zoning and Planning:

Report: Michael Baloga said Luzerne County will start giving the Borough a report on zoning applications over $3000.00.
Michael Baloga also thanked Stephen Nalewajko and Frank Yurek for their years of service to the Wyoming Borough.
Solicitor’s Report
Attorney Anderson thanked Stephen Nalewajko and Frank Yurek for their years of service to the Wyoming Borough. He also suggested the Borough replace him as general solicitor and have him go back to labor to save the Borough money for the coming year.
Mayor’s Report
Mayor Dominic recognized Roseann Colarusso for the great job on the Christmas In the Park event, and also stated how much the Wyoming Library appreciated the Borough helping with snow removal. The Mayor also stated that he and Representative Kaufer discussed ways of making Pettebone and Ninth St. a safer intersection for 10th St. students.
Mayor Dominic also informed the council that he spoke to the State Police after being asked by a Wyoming Borough citizen, and they are still investigating illegal purchases from a Wyoming Borough credit card.
Mayor Dominic also said he and the Wyoming Borough are looking into amending the ordinance for dumpster and solicitation permits in the Borough.
- The Police Department responded to 150 incidents in the month of October 2019.
Floor opens to the public
Robert Borzell inquired about the who collects for the zoning permits and how many have been sold in the last 60 days, and commented on how many contractors have been hired in Wyoming for home improvements, and about a time limit on the permits. He also asked about the streets that are scheduled to be paved in the Borough.
Rob Sherinsky congratulated the Wyoming Area Football Team for their State Championship. He also asked about the Sanitation rate increase and if the Wyoming Borough considered other options, and commented about the paving job that was done by American Asphalt. He also suggested something be done about the intersection at 10th St School.
Communications: A list of communications received since the last meeting have been presented to council and accepted on a motion made by Michael Baloga and seconded by Diane Smiles.
