Approval of minutes: The minutes of the September 2020 meeting are available for review at the borough office. The minutes are approved on a motion made by Diane Smiles and seconded by Joseph Scaltz.

Motion made to approve Wyoming Hose Co # 1 request to Wyoming Borough to retain ownership of 133 E. Eighth St, Wyoming Pa which was donated to the Wyoming Hose co # 1. They ask that you grant the wish of the party that wants the fire department to use the land to build a new garage for their fire apparatus, by leasing the property to Wyoming Hose Co # 1 and offering a 99 year lease at a total cost of $1.00. This lease will remain in effect if Wyoming Hose Co. # 1 wishes to occupy the property and will be renewable at the lease end by then parties to do so should the department wish to extend its lease.

Health and Sanitation: Recycling and Solid Waste

Community Electronic Recycling Event will take place on Thursday October 22, 2020 from 3-6 p.m. at the Luzerne County Soccer Fields, Camryn Way, Forty Fort. Tickets can be purchased for $30.00 at the Borough office.

Trash citations are being sent out for Delinquent 2020 trash payments. The Borough has received $6,940.00 to date.

Wyoming Borough received an email request from Nadine Claus asking for permission to have a tree planted and a bench added to Butler St Park in memory of her husband, Ted Claus. Ted was an active member of the Wyoming Borough Recreation Board for 20 years. The family will take care of the financial end of this endeavor.

Report: The Planning commission will hold another meeting in December, they hope to have everything ready by February of next year for the Board to vote on. Attorney Dennis said it will have to be approved by the County first, then it can be brought before the Board.
Solicitor’s Report:
Notice was given to Ashburn and Associates of the contact ending the is year.
A Civil Service committee will have to be appointed before a full-time officer can be hired.
Mayor’s Report
• The Police Department responded to 175 incidents in the month of August 2020.
Floor opens to the public
Frank Parra sent an email about trash left on the street due to no sticker or multiple items not being removed by Mascaro’s. Mrs. Parra has called the borough and her complaint was given to chief Mercavitch and he has given the owner of the property a citation.
Gail Marshall sent a letter to Council requesting a street sign for East & West 4th St due to mail problems. The Council said there is already a sign on one side of the Avenue.
Communications: A list of communications received since the last meeting have been presented to council and accepted on a motion made by John Lipski and seconded by Diane Smiles.
