Approval of minutes:  The minutes of the May 2021 meeting are available for review at the borough office. The minutes are approved on a motion made by Mr. Borzell and seconded by Mr. Herron.

Officers Reports: Reports of the Police Department, Street Commissioner and Code Enforcement Officer for the month of May 2021 have been submitted and placed on file for public inspection.

Attorney Lars Anderson reported on what was discussed in the Executive session:

 Personnel: Benefit Package to Borough Manager

Work Session: Mr. Borzell discussed the issue on fireworks. Complaints received from residents.

. Motion made to approve the Cooperation Agreement between Luzerne County and Wyoming Borough for Community Development Block Grant in the amount of $189,168.00 for Removal of Architectural Barriers.

Report: DCED Covid-19 Local Fiscal Recovery Funding has opened up for the borough to apply for allocated funding of $315,159.00. Reilly & Associates has submitted the application on behalf of the borough. Council Vice President, Joseph Scaltz will be the authorized representative for the borough.

 Motion made to sign the Memorandum of Understanding between Wyoming Borough and Wyoming Area School District regarding police coverage.

Motion made to approve Borough Manager, Roseanne Colarusso to apply for the 902 Grant to obtain recycling containers for the residents.

Report:   Past due letters were mailed to residents with delinquent 2021 trash invoices. Residents will have 30 days to pay before citations will be served.

Upcoming recycling event: Annual Shred Event, September 9, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the borough building parking lot.

Motion made to approve Gashi Tree Services to remove dead tree at the Butler Street Park at a cost to the Borough of $850.00.

Report: Community Yard sale took place on June 5th and had over 73 participants. It was a great success.

Motion made to advertise an amendment to Ordinance 15-213 for placement of a stop sign on Tenth Street for entry onto Susquehanna Avenue.

Motion made to approve a curb cut for Craig & Marie Cheskiewicz of 3 Monument Avenue. Purpose of the curb cut is to make the side of their home accessible to park their vehicle.

Solicitor’s Report: Atty Anderson had nothing to report on behalf of the Solicitor.

Mayors Report:   The Police Department responded to 193 incidents in the month of May 2021.

. Motion made to approve a Letter of Support for City of Pittston Riverfront Park Extension & Boat Launch grant application.

The police department received an application for a part time officer from Alexandra Nolan.

ENRADD was ordered, waiting for delivery.

Regionalization meeting will be held on June 17th Mayor and Joseph Scaltz will be attending.

Mayor Dominick commended the officers on a job well done.

Citations numbers are increasing along with criminal investigations. Thanked the Police Department for all their hard work.

Floor opens to the public: No emails received from the public

Communications: A list of communications received since the last meeting have been presented to council and accepted on a motion made by Mr. Lipski and seconded by Mr. Borzell.
