The Luzerne Conservation District (LCD) will be conducting a truck mounted ultra-low volume (ULV) mosquito control operation in Forty Fort, West Wyoming, Wyoming, Exeter, and West Pittston Boroughs and Plains Township, Luzerne County.  Residential and recreational areas will be sprayed for adult mosquitoes. The control work will begin in the evening hours on Wednesday, August 28, 2024.  High populations of nuisance mosquitoes were collected in the affected area and numerous complaints were received by residents.

The truck mounted ULV spray will be conducted by LCD. The business license for LCD is BU 11113. The product that will be used is AquaDuet, applied at a rate of .62 oz/ac. This product is designed to provide quick knockdown and effective control of adult mosquitoes. 

Weather conditions and other unexpected events could delay or cancel this spray operation. A rain date of Thursday, August 29, 2024, will be used if necessary. Please contact me at 570-674-7991 ext. 6 if you have any questions or concerns.
